About
My name is Cindi Gasparre and I am Tullio’s Granddaughter. My grandfather came to America from Spoleto, Italy around the turn of the century, landing at Ellis Island before he found his way to Trenton, New Jersey. It was there that he and my grandmother, Lucia Frascella, opened their first neighborhood restaurant. Their love of food and their mealtime family gatherings led me to a career in the culinary arts. I attended the Restaurant School in Philadelphia in the late 70s and have been cooking, both professionally and at home, ever since. My particular food passions are fresh, seasonal produce, food’s uniquie ability to connect family and friends, and the way we can experience diverse cultures through it. I am attending the University of Gastronomic Sciences in Colorno, Italy to further develop my love and understanding of food and its place in people’s lives.
